Collecting mobility devices

Crutches 4 Africa is an international organization that collects used and surplus mobility devices and then ships them to developing countries and distributes them -- free of charge -- to people with physical mobility challenges regardless of their race, gender, age or religion.

Rotary District 5495 Interact clubs (high school students) have made supporting Crutches 4 Africa its signature international service project and for the past few years has shipped containers of collected mobility devices to those in need in Kenya (Africa). In addition, a group of Arizona Interact students have traveled to Kenya for several years (prior to the pandemic) to assist distribution. This year, devices will be sent to Kenya and Mexico to aid those in need of mobility assistance.

America Furniture Warehouse is a proud corporate sponsor of Interact District 5495's Crutches 4 Africa project and has for several years graciously collected and stored donations of mobility devices prior to their shipment abroad.
