Irv was born in 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Syracuse University receiving his B.F.A. degree in Advertising Design. He earned an M.A. degree in Graphic Design at San Jose State University. Professionally, he has spent much of his career developing graphic concepts, designing trade exhibitions and creating advertising art for major industry. His graphics have been published in some of America's finest magazines and journals.
