Lazy Dog, a giant lodge-themed restaurant that serves up lunch, brunch, and dinner in a dog-friendly atmosphere, hits Houston next week.
The first Space City outpost of the national chain will debut at 20030 Northwest Freeway in the Cypress Crossing development. According to a press release, interiors were designed to feel like a Rocky Mountain Wyoming retreat, where the founder’s family vacations. Diners can expect lodge-like furnishings including fireplaces and rustic light fixtures and furniture, plus multiple flat-screen TVs for game-watching throughout the bar and a giant dog-friendly patio. The patio also offers a selection of special dishes for diners’ four-legged furry friends.
At its dozens of outposts across the U.S., Lazy Dog has known for its enormous menu of Americana-themed dishes like shrimp & grits with house-made sausage and bell pepper gravy; wild boar chili with indigo cornbread fries; lamb barbacoa tacos; and seared ahi tuna salad. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, rice and noodle bowls, meat-laden entrees, and vegetarian dishes round out the sprawling selection of dishes.
