In honor of Foster Care Awareness Month, FLOC-LA is spotlightling United Friends of the Children for their amazing work around "Preparing Foster Youth for a Future that Works."
United Friends of the Children (UFC) provides housing and education programs for foster youth providing them an opportunity to graduate from high school, attend and graduate from college, get a job, find housing and have a support system that moves them gradually towards independence.
Staff from UFC will share stories of working with youth, their success rate and how to engage further. Their annual "College Within Reach" College Access Event is happening on Sat, Sept 17th at USC -- come find out how YOU can join in the action!
