I recently joined the Board of Directors of Vietnamese Rainbow Orange County (VROC), an organization that centers grassroots community organizing for queer, trans, and LGBTQ+ people in Orange County. When I first moved to SoCal four years ago and parted with my queer Hmong community in Fresno, VROC was one of the first places that helped me feel similarly welcomed in my queer, Southeast Asian, and political identity ♥️ I'm honored to be a part of the work that VROC does in supporting queer people thrive, intergenerational community building (seriously, y'all should see the VROC Mamas perform), and ultimately, fighting for the liberation of all people.
