The Live Like Rich Foundation was created to honor the way Richard Ham lived: with humility, purpose, and a selfless belief in giving without expecting anything in return. The foundation’s mission is to carry forward Richard’s legacy of service by supporting causes and communities that were close to his heart.
Proceeds from the Live Like Rich Tournament will support the Hoag Family Cancer Institute, where Richard received treatment for pancreatic cancer. This event will help fund Hoag’s early detection programs and its ongoing work to transform decades of patient data into advanced tools for identifying and treating pancreatic cancer earlier — improving outcomes and offering hope to patients and families when it matters most.
More than a hospital, Hoag held a special place in Richard’s journey. It became a second home, where he was cared for not only as a patient, but as family. Hoag’s physicians, nurses, and staff transformed difficult days into moments filled with humanity, humor, and hope — taking the time to truly know Richard and find ways to lift his spirit, even during the most challenging moments.
