Samantha Spalti – Artist Bio
Samantha Spalti is the Gallery Director at Sunset River Gallery where she is responsible for the overall management and artistic direction of the gallery. In addition, she is a Calabash NC based painter concentrating on acrylic paint and mixed media in her work. An important artistic tenet for her is using upcycled (giving new value to discarded supplies by reusing them) and thrifted materials to minimize waste. She believes the culture of over-consumption is having devastating results on American society. She has a BA in Studio Art with a minor in Art History from University at Albany. Prior to her time in NC, she lived in the capital region of NY and had pieces juried into shows from Glens Falls to Brooklyn.

"I want something real to cling to me-even if it's just dust." - A. Moreau
A community's quality of life is greatly improved by artists that provide inspiration, wonder and healing through their art.
Opening the kiln is like coming downstairs on Christmas day!
Push the boundaries of your art form, you never know what will happen!
Thank you to all the artists who are brave enough to share themselves through their art.
