It’s So Easy, Even the Kids Are Doing It

Most high school students have spent their “coronacation” zooming with friends, binging tv shows, and lamenting the loss of their second semester, but not Husna. Rising high school senior Husna Farukhi created the organization Mercy 2 Humanity at the onset of the corona virus pandemic to create sanitary packs for people unable to quarantine. Mercy 2 Humanity has already donated over 2,000 sanitary packs, with no plans to slow down. In fact, the campaign has evolved to also assist the Black Lives Matter movement, as 25% of funds from the corona care packages are donated to the NAACP.

According to Husna, Givsum helped facilitate her campaign in several ways. Givsum allowed her to collect all of her donations, and the personalized dashboard, where organizations can manage all their operations, was a huge plus.
