If a best friend and a soulmate could be wrapped up into one person, that is what Jezzelle became to me. I remember moving to Virginia Beach in my pre-teen years, and after finding a little footing, I met a girl my age and we just... clicked. Everything fell into place. She helped open my "Filipino" eye; we celebrated our cultural history together -- but knew we didn't fit into a lot of the "boxes" that society in general wanted us to fit in to. I will always treasure our time together. She passed away in Spring 2025 at the age of 32. Mamahalin kita habang buhay, Jezz.
