The festival is brought to you by MÜBARK and Educate to Empower in partnership with QAAPI and APEC of UCR. This is a space for community members, educators, and students to share their stories through creative media while fostering connection and belonging. The program highlights Kita, a short documentary following Filipinx students and alumni from UC Riverside that centers their perspectives on community care and advocacy, alongside original short films by independent and student filmmakers exploring themes of culture and identity.
This event raises funds for future projects and programming dedicated to documenting community histories and amplifying stories from within the community. All donations are tax-deductible.

Decades after Philip Vera Cruz wrote “Profits Enslave the World,” its transformation into a song connects generations of Filipino American activists—from the fields of the 1920s to the movements of the 1970s and beyond.
