The Rotary Club of Newport Beach - Global Service Club has partnered with the Society for Children and the Gratitude Network to help build a better future for needy children in India.  Designed as a Rotary Foundation Global Grant, upon approval, proceeds directed to 1) service a new children's rehabilitation center, 2) purchase a van for transporting children, and 3) establish a computer lab for education and learning.   The full MOU can be reviewed here. 


About the Society for Children


Established in July of 2012, the Society for Children's vision is to create a just society where children are living happily and enjoying all their due rights.  The mission is to identify and reach out to children who are deprived of their rightful rights, providing them with essential interventions to enable them to realize their rights and lead a life filled  with happiness and fulfillment. 

Founder Manoj Kumar and the Society for Children's team are dedicated to protecting children's rights, amplifying their voices, and fulfilling their dreams.  They champion hope, ensuring children reach their full potential.

Programs include: 

  • Drug addiction and rehab programs through residential camps
  • School reintegration for dropouts through the edu-bridge program

Achievements include:

  • Eleven residential de-addiction camps impacting 225 children
  • Seven reintegration school camps impacting 158 children

  • Best children NGO @ Giving Back 2015, Mumbai
  • Winner of the CSR implementation agency challenge @ India CSR Summit 2016
  • Recognized as one of the top 50 change agents of Odisha

About Gratitude Network

Gratitude Network is a global leadership development nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth around the world by accelerating the community impact of social entrepreneurs. Through a 12-month virtual Fellowship, Gratitude focuss on strengthening leadership and driving organizational growth, providing participants with:
