Small - 12 inch butterfly
Kim's love for art began when she was a child living with her mother and grandmother. Her grandmother taught her skills and techniques in the world of fiber arts and pencil sketching and her mother shared her creative passions. From Kim's early days, curiosity gave her the drive to explore a variety of art forms and mediums. Mediums she most often works with are clay, glass, and fiber. Glass is fascinating, watching the light coruscating off its surface creates a sense of freedom and chaos. Kim has attended both higher education art classes as well as semi-private classes and workshops. She has shared her skills teaching others in workshops and class teachings. Over the years her work has been highlighted in the Anchorage Museum, Wisconsin state house, juried shows in Alaska and Arizona.
