April has always held deep meaning for me, not just because of my birthday, but because it marks my first cancer treatment milestone…the completion of chemotherapy. I remember quietly honoring that moment with a walk along the beach and a simple prayer. As I was leaving, I asked a complete stranger to capture that moment in a photo. I was bald beneath that beanie and short bob wig, just beginning to feel the lasting effects of chemotherapy settle in for the final time. That moment also marked the beginning of my purpose. Since then, I’ve returned to that same place year after year—to pray, to reflect, and to recommit to making this moment matter by giving back—each visit marked by another photo of that recommitment. As I step into 50, I find myself reflecting on what it means to still be here—and how to continue this work of giving back with intention. So, I’m inviting you into something deeply personal: An invitation for 50 people to give $50 and 50 people to commit to a monthly gift—of any amount. Because just like in life after cancer, it’s the small, consistent choices that shape what comes next. A one-time gift creates immediate impact.
