GLOBAL G.L.O.W. (Girls Leading Our World)

Global G.L.O.W., a nonprofit based in Santa Ana, California, operating in 5 U.S. states and 26 countries, strives to ignite the power of women and girls as a force for global transformation.

G.L.O.W.'s mentorship program ignites the power of strong girls, in grades 5 - 12, from vulnerable communities to transform the world. Our literacy skills-building curriculum, coupled with strong, young women as mentors in a structured system of program delivery development, supports girls who experience the greatest barriers to education and success. Qualified mentors are recruited from college and serve as positive role models. They lead weekly programming with girls in small groups and share personal stories of strength. The innovative curriculum at Global G.L.O.W. builds leadership, social emotional support, self-confidence, literacy, self-expression and community. With a strong authentic voice, a girl becomes an advocate for herself and her future. When girls are empowered, they generate an upward spiral that breaks the cycle of poverty and transforms families, communities and the world.

SANTA ANA, CA

The GLOW House headquarters is in the heart of downtown Santa Ana, one of six sites, where college mentors deliver structured programming to the most vulnerable girls in the community. Mentors and girls come together at the GLOW House and alongside community partners who share our mission to strengthen and amplify girls' voices as a potent force for change in the world.
