How It Works

Each month, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mails a high quality, age-appropriate book to all registered children, addressed to them, at no cost to the child’s family. Many groups and individuals work hard behind the scenes to make that special moment possible for each child.

The Erie and Carbon Valley Imagination Library Affiliate is a managed by Leisl Athen and Kassie Haag, who live in Frederick Colorado, who have a passion for children. The affiliate is sponsored by the Erie Rotary Charity Fund.

As an affiliate to the Imagination Library, we make it possible to help you get a book a month into the hands of a child to instill reading into their lives.

• Check if the child's address is in our affiliate area by clicking the link above.
• Enroll local children ages 0-4 (the last book arrives on the child's 5th birthday).
• Donate to cover the cost of approximately $25 per child, per year towards wholesale books and mailing costs.
• Volunteer to drive up enrollment and help with fundraisers to cover the costs of reaching thousands of children.
