Operation Flags for Vets

The Rotary 5340 District Military Coordinating Committee (DMCC) is proud to be sponsoring “Operation Flags for Vets” at Miramar National Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend. In cooperation with the cemetery administration, members of Rotary District 5340 will be placing a small American flag at every gravesite to honor our fallen heroes.  

We will be placing flags on Saturday, May 23 starting at 12:00pm

We will be removing the flags on Tuesday, May 26 starting at 3:00pm.  

We are in need of volunteers to place and remove the flags.  We are especially in need of people on Tuesday to remove the flags.  

Whenever you volunteer remember to wear comfortable clothes, sun protection and bring water to stay hydrated.
