New Bern Breakfast Rotary is hosting the 15th annual BSH Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, September 26th at Riverfront Convention Center of Craven County. The doors will be open from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and maybe longer!. Advance tickets for the event, the traditional German buffet catered by The Flame, and early beer tickets, are available online and highly recommended to ensure there is enough seating, food and beer for everyone. This year, there is an event only ticket option that allows people to come enjoy the party, music, dancing, and stein-holding contest; and purchase pretzels and beer.
The traditional Oktoberfest celebration is usually held in Germany during late September and early October each year as a famed beer festival and fair that has been replicated around the world. For more than a decade, the New Bern Breakfast Rotary Club has hosted this signature event in New Bern to raise funds for their charitable projects in the community including six scholarships, donations to area nonprofits, and the well-established Kicks-for-Kids program that provides nearly 350 new pairs of shoes to elementary and middle school children throughout Craven County each fall in…
