Interact Ambassadors Program to Kenya and Mexico collects and distributes mobility devices (crutches, wheelchairs, walkers, canes) and provides assistance to the mobility-disabled in these countries. 

 Among the 529 Rotary districts around the world, District 5495 is unique in being the only district which offers to high school students, who are active members of Rotary-sponsored Interact Clubs, the opportunity to train and serve at 3 different leadership levels: (1) Club; (2) District; and (3) International. 

Two teams of five high school Interactors from District 5495 have been selected to travel to Kenya and Central Mexico for two weeks this summer. These Interact representatives will be accompanied by adult Advisors, and hosted by Interact, Rotaract and Rotary Clubs in Kenya and Central Mexico. Our Rotary district has developed longstanding relationships with trusted partners in each of these countries. This year will be the 7th team to Kenya and the 3rd team to central Mexico.    

In addition to our Interact clubs collecting mobility devices, funds are raised each year to assist with the cost of shipping the mobility equipment and to cover the cost of the airfare for the student…
