This piece draws from the sleek, aerodynamic, and biomechanical design language of 1990s and early 2000s anime. These influences shaped how he approached the form and sought to blend organic life and engineered structure. Dan has become increasingly interested in multimedia artwork using hyper durable materials and saw this as an opportunity to push his personal limits, learn new skills, and how to shape specialized materials to create something far more interesting and visually interactive. 

Dan Mason is a Philadelphia-based artist whose work bridges the worlds of tattooing, graffiti, and contemporary art. A founding member of the South Philadelphia collective Club Masonry, Mason has left his mark both literally and figuratively on the city's creative landscape. With deep roots in Philadelphia's graffiti scene and a respected career in the tattoo industry, his work reflects a fusion of unique calligraphy, fine art, and bold storytelling.
