Share the love

The Child Creativity Lab cordially invites you to the 2nd Annual "Creativity Uncorked!" Wine Tasting and Silent Auction Fundraiser, at the beautiful Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach. Proceeds will support scholarships for educational materials benefiting at-risk communities, as well as other programs at the Child Creativity Lab Depot for Creative Reuse Center.

Each guest will enjoy a tasting of 6 distinct wines from some of California's most interesting vintners, a complimentary limited-edition wine glass to take home, a selection of hot and cold appetizers, as well as the opportunity to take part in our silent auction featuring products and services donated by our amazing community partners.

Special thanks to our Platinum "Ingenuity" Level Sponsors, Kapstone Planning and Bytelaunch Foundation, our "Imagination" Level Sponsor, Watson Team Real Estate, and our "Invention" Level Sponsors, Monsieur Marcel Gourmet Market and Restaurants, QB Cure, Hi Time Wine Cellar, and Purple Corduroy!

The Child Creativity Lab's mission is to foster the next generation of critical thinkers, problem solvers, innovators, and leaders through hands-on creativity-enhancing exploration. Today’s children become tomorrow’s visionaries.

Our impact has grown substantially since our inception. In 2014, we offered 23 programs to 1,815 youth. In 2015, that number grew to 86 programs serving 2,950 youth. We had a milestone year in 2016, with over 13,000 youth served, over 11,000 pounds of waste diverted from our precious landfills for S.T.E.A.M.-based programs, and provided 1,368 volunteer hours for the community.  Fifty-seven percent of youth served were at-risk children from low-income families.

The Child Creativity Lab Depot for Creative Reuse Center opened in September of 2015, and is filled with reclaimed and reusable materials procured from businesses and individuals in and around Orange County – materials that would otherwise fill our precious landfills. Materials include unique and clean manufacturing scraps, a variety of colorful fabrics and textiles, paper goods, decorative accessories, coffee bean burlap sacks, school supplies, and many other items that can be repurposed for educational projects, arts and craft supplies, home décor and DIY needs. This facility also features a community makerspace that offers a variety of S.T.E.A.M.-based workshops for children, teens, and educators that are hands-on, purposeful, and yet fun, engaging, and similar in excitement level and entertainment value of jump houses and other “pure-play” amusement centers.
