Our Mission
We inspire and educate young minds through engaging, science-based programs and exhibits to create a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.
Discovery Cube Orange County (DCOC) is a hands-on children's science center located in Santa Ana, just off the 5 fwy. The 115,000 square foot facility offers to fill a widening gap in science education and serves as a resource center to thousands of students, parents, and teachers. Our programs aim to bring children and science together in a fun learning environment that promotes wellness, school readiness, and science literacy through our four core initiatives.
Our Core Initiatives
STEM Proficiency: Increase students' and teachers' proficiency in science, technology, engineering and math, to prepare students to successfully enter the workforce and become productive, problem-solving community members.
Healthy Living: Educate families about healthy living and the inter-connectivity of body systems, mental health and nutrition to increase their physical and psychological wellness.
Early Learning: Provide parents and guardians with knowledge and training to teach children how to read, understand numbers and complex language, and achieve proficiency in school readiness skills.
Environmental Stewardship: Encourage positive behaviors to foster environmental stewardship of land, water and air resources and to develop innovative solutions to 21st Century challenges.
