When Mercy House first began operations in 1990, we were one shelter, with one employee, serving ten single men. Over the course of the past 25 years, Mercy House has grown tremendously to become an esteemed and recognized organization serving nearly 5,000 individuals annually.
Each year, Mercy House provides housing and comprehensive supportive services for a variety of homeless populations, including families, adult men and women, mothers and their children, persons living with HIV/AIDS, individuals overcoming substance addictions and some who are physically and mentally disabled.
Since our first year of operation, Mercy House has assisted over 65,000 people who struggled with homelessness and housing instability.
Mission Statement: To be the leader in ending homelessness by providing a unique system of dignified housing alternatives, programs and supportive services.
