The main objectives of this project are to supplement the effort of the Government of the Republic of Zambia in the fight against the covid 19 pandemic by donating PPEs sanitizers, detergents, disinfectants, ventilators among others to the following health institutions:
1) Masaiti District Health Office, with 32 health facilities and a hospital serving as regional isolation centre.
2) Mpongwe District Health Office, with 28 health facilities which includes 2 mission hospitals. The two mission hospitals have a bed capacity of 268 beds while the other health facilities have a combined bed capacity of 91 beds.
3) Ndola District Health Office, with 32 health facilities.
4) Ndola Teaching Hospital which is a regional referral hospital with a bed capacity of 760 beds.
The catchment areas for these health facilities have a combined population of about 840,000 people who permanently reside in these catchment areas.
The project will take place in Masaiti, Mpongwe and Ndola, Copperbelt, Zambia.
