Welcome To Our Club

Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization, with 1.2 million members in 45,000+ clubs worldwide in over 200 countries. Rotary Club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene; health care for mothers and children; support education and improve literacy; promote peace; grow local economies; fight disease and eradicate polio; and improve the environment.   The Rotary motto is "Service Above Self". 

The Rotary Club of Townsend (the FUN Club) is dedicated to serving Townsend and Broadwater County.  The Club sponsors a community-based Interact Club for students 12-18 years of age. 

The Club is soliciting sponsorships to fund projects for the 2026-2027 fiscal year including our annual fundraiser: Fall Fest - which will be held October 2-4, 2026.  In 2025, the Rotary Club of Townsend spent over $100,000 on community projects. Recent projects funded by Fall Fest revenues include: 

• Gave Five Broadwater High School (BHS) Scholarships
• Helped Fund New Sound Systems at the Fairgrounds and School 
• Helped 50 Families Pay for New Water System Pressure Relief Valves 
• Helped Fund New Heritage and McCarthy Park Playground Equipment 
• Helped Fund Chamber’s Digital Sign west of Heritage Park
• Helped Fund New High School Baseball Program 
• Organized Slice of Summer Family Fun Events
• Funded New Sheriff Department Laptops
• Helped Fund Tennis Court Resurfacing
• Helped Fund New Golf Course Utility Cart
• Sponsored Circus and Funded K-8 kids to go to Circus Free
• Sponsored Students to Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Camp
•  Helped Fund Interact Club Trip to Costa Rica; Helped Sponsor Ag Appreciation Dinner; Broadwater Community Theater, Rodeo Club, Food Pantry, Swimming Pool Life-guard Training, STOKE; and more.
• Co-Sponsor Senior Citizen Holiday Dinner & Light Tour
• Sponsor Boys/Girls State Students
• Co-Sponsor Bike Safety Rodeo 
• Upgrade Broadwater Food Pantry and Senior Center
• And more…

In addition to service projects, the Club tours local businesses, has social gatherings, and networks after meetings.

PLEASE BE A ROTARY PROJECT SPONSOR.  As a Rotary project sponsor, you help our Club contribute to the community, its senior citizens, and youth.  You will receive free advertising space on our website all year as well as special recognition n the Jumbotron at this year’s Fall Fest to be held October 2nd-4th, 2026.
